3 Lbs.

Yep. 3 pounds. That's what the package said. 3 pounds of pictures. Who orders 3 pounds of pictures?
This girl.

That is one big stack of photos.
Good thing it's Tuesday so I can work on photo albums this weekend. Oh wait, that's right. It's Tuesday which means they'll end up in an album in a year or so. At least I have them, right?
I really do love to sort through pictures and organize them nerd style. Chronological order, y'all- by event in a shoebox. There is NO other way.

Look at these cuties. They are the reason I'm here. I like them.

Yes, I did take a picture of a picture.

Happy Tuesday!

The Weekend in Photos

I got to play with my new camera! Love it!
There were lots of puppy snuggles this weekend! How could you say no to that face?

 Shark time!
 The tongue that never stops.
Botanical Gardens for a little camera experimenting

He's so serious!
Aren't relaxing weekends the best?

I'm on a roll!

This post is going to be completely random. My life is pretty random, so it works.

Random 1: Things my students have said about me recently- "Mrs. Bagley, you're such a hipster." and "Oh my gosh, you sound exactly like Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory. You're so weird."

Random 2: I got a new toy. I have no idea what I'm doing with it yet, but I'm excited.

Random 3: Ellie had a little run in with the law. Sentence: 30 seconds in the stocks.

Random 4: I love clearance Valentine's Day candy. It's delicious and cheap!

I want to sit on a suitcase so it will shut.

This is going to sound completely bonkers after my last three posts (Yeah, three posts! This makes four. Boom- I can count!), but I have such a travel bug lately. Maybe I should keep things blurry. In classic Kate form I have made a list.

Places I want to travel:
1. San Francisco, Monterey Bay, Carmel- This is in the works. My oldest friend just moved out there. Yes, in the South we say  "out there" like California is another planet. I'm glad it's not, but I'd probably visit if she moved to another planet.
2. Kansas/Missouri- Also in the works for Emma's wedding.
3. NYC-Always on the list since age 5. One day Big Apple, one day...
4. The writer's tour of Mississippi-possibly a day/quick overnight trip this spring. Here's to hoping.
5. A weekend in Chattanooga, TN. We drove through on the way to North Carolina. I haven't been there in years and it seems like the perfect weekend getaway.
6. Orlando-Annual family vacation get out the fanny packs! Can't wait!
7. The world's longest yard sale -at least the Alabama to Tennessee parts.
8. Unclaimed Baggage Center -one man's lost luggage. I know this is totally dorky, but I can't help but feel a little Indiana Jones meets Storage Wars.

I can't wait to start checking these off the list!

The Blur-Part 3

Two weekends ago I went to Atlanta (insert an emphatic statement of "ATL playa" with a gang sign thrown up) to go wedding dress shopping with my friend Emma. We did not visit the Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta shop, but we are fairly convinced we saw two real housewives. Apparently, I was the unofficial tour guide because I had been there more often than anyone else. The title was pretty impromptu, but I think I fulfilled my duties at least marginally well. We laughed, shopped until we dropped, ate copious amounts of chips and salsa, watched slightly inappropriate, albeit scientific, television and then waited in line at H&M-forever.

I took pictures like this and felt fancy.

I drooled over the J.Crew line for Sperry and felt ridiculously preppy.

Then, after a week of work, there was a long weekend. I heart President's day. And that is how the blur ended.

The Blur-Part 2

Literally 2 weeks after coming home from North Carolina, we spent a weekend on St. Simons Island. This was business for Bryant but fun for me! Don't worry; he had fun too.

Have I ever mentioned that I LOVE the beach?

The Blur-Part 1

This year is moving crazy fast! I've been moving crazy fast! Life continues to move crazy fast. I finally sat down to go through and order prints last night. I thought I just needed to order from Christmas on. Yeah right, there were pictures from last April I never printed. One mac daddy order later...
Anyway, a lot of things have happened already this year. 2012 the year of the blur in pics thus far...
Biltmore Estate

Gnarly tree, literally

Bryant really liked it

Love the Christmas tree!

This is how I look when I'm really excited! We stumbled upon Carl Sandburg's home in North Carolina. Yes, I am nerding out and texting my English nerd parents.

So freaking exciting

"The fog comes/on little cat feet"

Mrs. Sandburg was a champion goat farmer. Who knew?

Still excited-Yes, I bought a t-shirt.
